
I am a Peace Corps Volunteer serving as a TEFL teacher in Melitopol, a Russian-speaking city in Ukraine, east of the Dnipro River. I work with grades 1-11, which makes planning a little challenging sometimes, but it has given me the unique opportunity to interact with different age groups. It has also given me a plethora of English lessons, activities, and resources that have now been adapted for all types of learners.
I really love teaching. I also love to have fun with my students in the classroom so I try to make my lessons creative. It's worth the extra work to spruce up a lesson plan for students (and for me, too). It's hard, sometimes, to strike a balance between having fun and learning and I'm still working on this.
